Jim Mullins is a Gold Coast based interior architect and designer with over 20 years experience in the industry.
Prior to establishing his own studio in Tugun Queensland he spent 6 years working with Paul Uhlmann Architects on a range of high end (award winning) residential projects as well as resort projects in China, Sri Lanka and Fiji. He has experience working in exhibition and retail design and counts as clients the major Museums and galleries including the Powerhouse Museum, Museum of Sydney and the Historic Houses Trust.
His design philosophy is based on quality of light and space rather than any predetermined style. He strives for simplicity through rigorous space planning, attention to detail and an honest use of materials.
He believes in creating strong initial design concepts and communicating these clearly in the early stages of the design process as well as producing highly detailed construction documentation to ensure the delivery of a quality project
His practice is based on a solid foundation of design excellence, budget and program control, proficient project management and the achievement of best value and design quality.
Jim is actively involved in all stages of the project from initial concept, development, planning, tender and construction.
